1. Who We Are
Trader is operated as a UK business. Our contact email is hello@tradercrm.uk.
2. What We Collect
When you create an account:
- Name and email address
- Password (stored securely, never in plain text)
- Business name
When you use Trader:
- Customer records you create (names, addresses, phone numbers)
- Job details, notes, and task information
- Partner and collaborator invitations you send or receive
When you pay:
- Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe stores payment data on our behalf and is PCI-DSS compliant.
Automatically:
- IP address
- Browser and device type
- Pages visited and time spent
- Interactions within the app
We collect this automatically via Google Analytics.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Run and maintain your Trader account
- Process your subscription payments via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (account verification, invoices, team invitations)
- Understand how people use Trader so we can improve it
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your data. We do not use your business records (customers, jobs, notes) for marketing or analytics.
4. Who Can See Your Data
Within Trader:
- Partners you invite have full access to your jobs, customers, and admin settings.
- Collaborators you invite can see only the jobs and tasks assigned to them.
- Your private notes are visible only to you.
Third parties:
- Stripe processes your payments. See their privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
- Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how Trader is used.
- Bubble.io hosts Trader and stores your data on its infrastructure. Bubble is SOC 2 Type II certified and compliant with UK GDPR. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. See bubble.io/privacy for more.
We do not share your personal data with any other third parties.
5. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to certain uses of your data
- Withdraw consent where we rely on it
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, unless we are legally required to keep it.
7. Cookies
Trader uses cookies to keep you signed in and to understand how people use the service. We use Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies to collect anonymised usage data.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. A cookie consent tool is available on the site, where you can review and update your preferences.
We plan to add additional tracking tools in the future. We will update this policy and your cookie consent options before we do.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will let you know by email or through the app.
