How do I invite a Business partner?

Send an invite link from the Team section. Once they create an account and subscribe, you can grant them full access to manage your customers and jobs alongside you.

Do I pay for my sub-contractors?

No. Every user manages their own £5.90 subscription. This allows them to maintain their own private business records while collaborating on the specific jobs you share with them.

What can a sub-contractor see?

You have total control. Only the jobs and tasks you choose to tag your sub-contractors in will be visible to them.

Can I use this on my phone and desktop?

Yes. The app syncs in real-time across all devices. You can take photos on-site with your phone and handle your admin on a laptop later.

Who owns the data I upload?

You do. If you stop collaborating with a partner or sub-contractor, you retain all your records, notes, and photos within your own account.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. It's a rolling monthly subscription. You can cancel at any time through your account settings with no exit fees.

What happens after the 14-day trial?

You'll be prompted to add your payment details to keep using the app. If you don't, your data remains safe, but your access will be restricted until you subscribe.

When you create an account:

- Business name

When you use Trader:

- Customer records you create (names, addresses, phone numbers)
- Job details, notes, and task information
- Partner and collaborator invitations you send or receive

When you pay:

- Payment is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe stores payment data on our behalf and is PCI-DSS compliant.

Automatically:

- IP address
- Browser and device type
- Pages visited and time spent
- Interactions within the app

We collect this automatically via Google Analytics.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

- Run and maintain your Trader account
- Process your subscription payments via Stripe
- Send transactional emails (account verification, invoices, team invitations)
- Understand how people use Trader so we can improve it
- Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your business records (customers, jobs, notes) for marketing or analytics.

4. Who Can See Your Data

Within Trader:

- Partners you invite have full access to your jobs, customers, and admin settings.
- Collaborators you invite can see only the jobs and tasks assigned to them.
- Your private notes are visible only to you.

Third parties:

- Stripe processes your payments. See their privacy policy at stripe.com/gb/privacy.
- Google Analytics collects anonymised usage data to help us understand how Trader is used.

5. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
